HNZ Fundamentals of Palliative Care: Last Days of Life

Aim:

The Fundamentals of Palliative Care is a 10 learning package course, facilitated over 12 separate sessions. It has been developed by Hospice New Zealand to support and educate people who are working with patients and families/whanau requiring a palliative care approach

Designed for:

This workshop is suitable for all those working with people who have a life limiting illness.

Restrictions:

The ESSENCE OF PALLIATIVE CARE is the pre-requisite and introduction package. You must attend this session prior to any others

As pre-reading is emailed to attendees 1 week prior to each session, please ensure email addresses are correct on registration

Learning outcomes:

This session will outline the principles of care in the last days of life including assessment and management of symptoms that may occur at this time

There are 10 learning packages in the course facilitated over 12 education sessions in total.
