
HNZ Fundamentals of Palliative Care: Ethical Issues
Aim:
The Fundamentals of Palliative Care is a 10 learning package course, facilitated over 12 separate sessions. It has been developed by Hospice New Zealand to support and educate people who are working with patients and families/whanau requiring a palliative care approach
Designed for:
This workshop is suitable for all those working with people who have a life limiting illness. This includes but is not limited to: GPs, RNs, ENs, HCAs, allied health, management, reception and support staff
Restrictions:
The ESSENCE OF PALLIATIVE CARE is the pre-requisite and introduction package. You must attend this module prior to any others
As pre-reading is emailed to attendees 1 week prior to each session, please ensure email addresses are correct on registration
Learning outcomes:
This session will define and outline some of the ethical principles, dilemmas and considerations in palliative care

There are 10 learning packages in the course facilitated over 12 education sessions in total.
