Hospice Awareness Week - a collective effort!
We are absolutely delighted with this financial result, as well as the exposure gained through TV, radio,
newspaper articles and billboards. We wanted Mercy Hospice Auckland to be seen and heard throughout Auckland
City and hope that we were able to achieve this. Many supporters contacted us to say that they had seen Track
Day story on Campbell Live or heard our radio ad.
Around 40 companies and community groups participated in the ‘Hospice Cup of Tea Moment’ sponsored by Dilmah, raising over $4,900. Another initiative new for 2009 was the Add A Dollar campaign with New World. Victoria Park, Panmure and Eastridge stores asked their customers to ‘Add a Dollar’ to their grocery bill during Awareness Week which raised $2,900.

Thank you to all those who helped make Awareness Week happen from shaking buckets, delivering envelopes, organising a Cup of Tea Moment at their work, adding a dollar at New World, to marketing the event in the community. Without your support, we couldn’t have done it.
THANK YOU.
