Dr Pam Jennings
Dr Pam JenningsMBChB, FRMZCGP (1998), FAChPM (2008) Previous worked as GP in Auckland. Trained in Palliative Medicine Worked at Mercy Hospice since 2004.
Dr Diane Winstanley
Dr Diane WinstanleyMBBS (Lond) 1987. FRANZCR (1998). FAChPM (2011). Honorary Senior Lecturer, Department of Medicine, University of Auckland. Previously worked as a Radiation Oncologist. Trained in Palliative Medicine. Worked at Hospice since 2007.
Dr Dean Fourie
Dr Dean FourieBSc. PGDipHSc. BHB. MBChB. FRACP (2017). FAChPM (2017). Palliative Medicine Specialist • Dual trained in General Medicine and Palliative Medicine.
Dr Marie Rose
Dr Marie RoseMBChB 1997 MPallCare 2008 FUSA DIPPALLMED (Clinical) 2008 RACP Worked in Palliative Medicine since 1999; at Mercy Hospice since 2002.
Dr Ann Kim
Dr Ann KimMB ChB (2013), FRACP (2023), FAChPM (2023). Dual trained in Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine.

NURSING

Caring for you both at home and hospice

The Community Palliative Care Nursing Service provides:

  • Home visits and support for patients living at home or in residential care
  • 24-hour phone access for advice
  • Liaison with general practitioners and other health professionals involved in the patient’s care
  • Access to nursing care and some equipment to allow continued care at home
  • Advice and support for carers

Our nursing team includes a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner and experienced palliative care nurses. Our nurses work in four teams to cover geographical areas and they will plan your care with you, your family and Primary Health care Team, considering your individual goals and needs.

Our nurses visit 7 days a week if required. We assist with management of pain and other symptoms that may be causing concern. Our aim is to ensure that people are as independent and comfortable as possible. Because we provide a 7- day service, nurses other than your key nurse may visit from time to time.

Sandra Notley
Sandra NotleyNP MN (Hons.) BA (Soc Sci) Sandra Notley is a Nurse Practitioner and Mercy Hospice Community Palliative Care Team Leader. She has 25 years’ experience working in palliative care across a range of settings (acute hospital, inpatient unit and community) . She is former Chair of Hospital Palliative Care New Zealand. Sandra’s mission is to provide the best possible palliative care to patients and their whanau/ families.
MaryAnne Miranda
MaryAnne MirandaCharge Nurse Manager, Inpatient Unit. 20 years' nursing experience, from Emergency care, Assessment and Diagnostics, Gastroenterology, ACC Treatment Injury Nurse Specialist to Palliative care. My Mission is to pursue the goals that matter most to our patients, and those involve in their care. To have ongoing improvement in our service delivery, improve accessibility, and continue to provide the highest quality standard of care. My Vision is to be the provider of choice and leader in our community for specialised Palliative care.
