EVENTS AND COMMUNITY

A few hours collecting makes a huge difference.

Hospice Awareness Week (HAW) aims to raise awareness and educate the public on hospice services and how Mercy Hospice and other hospices are here to help and support people who are dying, as well as their loved ones.

HAW is taking place on May 13th – 19th of May. It’s key that more people know that hospice care is there for them and their whānau, whenever and wherever they need it.

Collecting donations during Hospice Awareness Week will ensure we can continue providing free palliative care for Aucklanders. So please, grab a mate, family member, or fellow volunteer and help make a difference.

Bucket collections run on Monday 13th May at selected street corners in the city, and on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 16th, 17th, 18th May at the shops below – and it’s really easy to sign up!

  1. Click on the link for your preferred location,
  2. Pick a time that suits you and then
  3. We’ll contact you to confirm the details before the day.

Whether you’ve collected for Mercy Hospice before or this is your first time, we’d love to welcome you to the team for this special fundraising and awareness event.
